Automatically Send a Welcome Email

Use Email Marketing to automatically send a welcome email when a contact is added to an audience.

Before you start

  • Create (or choose) the Audience you will import contacts into.

  • Prepare a Welcome email template.

Step 1: Create a Welcome email template

  1. Go to Email Marketing → Templates.

  2. Click Create Template.

  3. Design your welcome email and save.


Step 2: Create an automation

  1. Go to Email Marketing → Automations.

  2. Click Create Automation.


Step 3: Set the trigger

  1. In Trigger Configuration, select the trigger that matches how contacts are added:

    • Contact Added to Audience (manual import / normal list add)

    • Integration Sync (contacts synced via Integrations / API)

  2. Choose the Audience (or integration source) that should trigger the welcome email.


Step 4: Add the “Send Email” action

  1. Drag Send Email onto the canvas.

  2. Connect it to the trigger.


Step 5: Configure and activate

  1. Click the Send Email step.

  2. Select your Email Template.

  3. Set Subject, From Name, and From Email.

  4. Click Save & Activate.


Step 6: Monitor results

Open the automation to view Overview / Step Statistics (entered, completed, rate).
