Connecting a Namecheap domain to PledgeBox


Step 1: Log in to your Namecheap account

1. Open a new browser tab, and then log in to your Namecheap account.

2. Click Account.

3. Click MANAGE for the domain that you want to connect to Shopify.


Step 2: Verify your DNS changes

Ensure the DNS settings for your CNAME record match the following:

Type: CNAME Record

Host name: www

Points to: shopify.myshopify.com

TTL: Automatic


Step 3: Connect your domain to PledgeBox

1. From your PledgeBox admin, go to Connect Domain.

2. Type the name of the domain that you want to connect, and then click Next.

Step 4: Additional verification for your PledgeBox domain

As an additional security measure, your domain might require extra verification. This extra verification requires you to create a TXT record on the domain.

 

Steps:

1. In your Namecheap domain list, click Account.

2. Select the domain that you want to connect, and then click Advanced DNS.

3. Click ADD NEW RECORD.

4. From the list, select TXT Record.

5. In the Host field, enter pledgebox._verification.

6. In a new tab, go to your PledgedBox admin, click Connect Domain, and then type the name of the domain that you want to connect.

7. Locate the Required value, and then click Copy.

8. Go back to your Namecheap tab, and then paste the Required value in the Value field.

9. Click ✓ to save.

10. Go back your PledgeBox Admin tab, and then click Verify connection.

 

Note

PledgeBox verifies that the DNS records are correct. This can take 12 to 48 hours.
