How to Charge Tax for My Kickstarter/Indiegogo Campaign on Surveys

  1. PledgeBox allows you to set up Tax, VAT, and Customs Duty based on the total price of the Reward, PledgeBox add-ons, and shipping fees that backers have purchased.



    Go to " Tools" > click " Tax"

    Choose the type of Tax, and click " Add Country/Region"

    Select a country and apply a percentage

    Tips1: US/CA - Allow State Level taxing rate.
                                                                 Tips2: By clicking the "➕" icon, you can set the tax rate for each product individually.

    Click " Save Tax"

Tips:
  1. Please fill out the percent as a number between 0 and 100. For example, 4.32% should be entered as 4.32, not 0.0432.
  2. Templates for reference only.
  3. Shipping Fees and Rewards prices can be manually excluded.
  4. Kickstarter Bonus is not taxable.
  5. If there is no product in a Reward, the amount of this Reward Level will not be taxed. So do the shipping fees of this reward.
  6. The system will calculate the charged tax first, and then subtract the credits from the payable amount.
