How to set a cap value for add-on shipping fee on PledgeBox?

Use Maximal Shipping Fee to cap the shipping fees covered by that setting. Check the associated products and rewards; do not assume it caps every shipping charge on every order.

Set the cap

  1. Open your project.
  2. Open Survey Setting.
  3. Find Maximal Shipping Fee.
  4. Enable the option.
  5. Enter the intended maximum in the displayed project currency.
  6. Review Associated Products and Associated Rewards.
  7. Check the selected items and rewards, including additional pages of results.
  8. Click Save Survey Setting.
  9. Reopen the setting and preview representative orders.

The red outline marks the cap amount. The 10.00 shown is a demo example.

The page states that changes to this setting affect all orders. Review existing orders and fulfillment before applying a new cap.

How the cap affects a charge

For shipping covered by the cap, a calculated fee above the configured maximum is limited to that maximum. A fee below the maximum remains unchanged.

Example: with a $20 cap, a covered $30 shipping charge becomes $20; a covered $15 charge stays $15. These are examples, not default values.

Check the shipping method

The current interface disables the maximal-fee switch when Set the Shipping Fee Based on Total Weight/Amount Per Order is enabled. Review the active calculation method before configuring a cap.

Test an order below the cap, one above it and one outside the selected product or reward scope. Check the total shipping fee and remaining balance in the survey.
