What if there's a mismatch between the money a backer paid on Kickstarter/Indiegogo and the credit the backer has on the order page?

Compare the campaign pledge and PledgeBox order before changing any credit. A difference does not automatically mean that the backer must pay again.

Check the source pledge

  1. Confirm that you are comparing the same backer and project.
  2. Check the latest pledge amount and payment status on Kickstarter or Indiegogo.
  3. Check the reward, shipping amount, add-ons and currency included in that total.

During an active campaign, pledges and rewards can change. Imported data may therefore differ from the latest campaign page. Do not assume that campaign completion alone proves the figures match.

Check the PledgeBox order

  1. Open Backer List - Orders and find the order.
  2. Compare the imported platform pledge under User Info.
  3. Review the reward, add-ons, shipping fees and taxes in Order Info.
  4. Review Transactions for PledgeBox payments and Credit Offer entries.
  5. Check the remaining balance and activity history.

Keep the original platform pledge separate from later PledgeBox payments and creator-added credit. Compare matching components rather than adding the same pledge twice.

If the amounts still do not match

Check whether the project’s import has the latest platform data. If the difference remains, contact PledgeBox support with the project, PledgeBox ID, source pledge amount and a short explanation of the difference. Do not include payment credentials.

Do not use Add Credit merely to hide an unexplained mismatch. Use it only for an agreed adjustment. Read how credit works.
