Add-ons are extra items that a backer buys in addition to their reward. Check where the item was purchased before deciding whether payment is still due.

Kickstarter or Indiegogo add-ons

These are add-ons selected on the crowdfunding platform. PledgeBox imports the associated items and order information from the connected campaign.

Backers confirm the imported reward and campaign add-ons in the survey. Review the imported pledge and payment status rather than charging for the same item again.

PledgeBox add-ons

These are extra purchases offered during the PledgeBox survey. You can enable an imported product or create a new product for this purpose.

Open the product’s PledgeBox Add-on Setting. Set the add-on price, availability, purchase limit, eligible rewards and shipping fees. A product can be included in a reward and also offered for extra purchases.

Check the order total

Keep these parts separate: the original platform pledge, imported campaign add-ons, extra PledgeBox purchases, shipping, tax and creator-added credit. The order’s balance shows what remains after the recorded amounts are applied.

Compare the product SKU and quantity if a backer reports a missing or duplicate item. Do not assume that an imported campaign add-on and a new PledgeBox add-on purchase are the same transaction.
