This guide explains how to add a custom sending domain for PledgeBox – EDM and verify it by configuring DNS records.

What you’ll do

1. Add your domain in the product

2. Add the provided DNS records

3. Wait for DNS to propagate and verification to complete
   

Step 1: Add your domain in PledgeBox

1. In PledgeBox, go to the Email Marketing and open Custom Domains.

2. Click Add Domain.

3. Enter your domain (example: demo.pledgebox.com).

4. Click Add.

After the domain is added, you’ll see a list of DNS records to configure.

Step 2: Add the DNS records in your DNS provider

1. Open your DNS provider’s dashboard for your domain.

2. Go to DNS management / DNS records.

3. Create the records exactly as provided in PledgeBox:

   • Record Type: CNAME

   • Name/Host: paste the Name from PledgeBox.

   • Value/Target: paste the Value from PledgeBox.

   • TTL: keep the default value.

4. Save the changes.

Step 3: Wait for verification

1. Return to the domain settings page in PledgeBox.

2. The records will typically show Status: Pending at first.

3. Once DNS propagation is complete, the status should change to Verified.
