Survey Status describes a backer’s progress through the survey. It is separate from Order Status, which covers locking, shipping and related order changes.
Survey-status meanings
- Not Invited: the survey invitation has not been sent.
- Pending: the invitation has been sent, but the backer has not opened the survey.
- In Progress: the backer has opened the survey and has not completed it.
- Completed: the backer has completed the survey. This does not mean that the order has shipped.
- Canceled: the creator has canceled the order. The backer cannot continue the survey for that canceled order.
- Dropped: the original Kickstarter payment failed. Check the source payment and imported pledge before deciding what the backer must pay.
Check invitations for dropped pledges
Dropped does not mean that an invitation is always sent. Open Survey Setting and check Do not send survey to backers failed to pay on Kickstarter. This setting can exclude those backers.
If a dropped backer is invited, review their reward, imported pledge, shipping, taxes and current balance. Do not assume that they have the same credit as a successfully collected pledge.
Find orders by status
- Open Backer List - Orders.
- Use the Survey Status filter.
- Select the required status.
- Review the matching orders before sending messages or changing them.
