The sender’s display name and the sending email address are separate settings. Changing a name does not authenticate an email domain.
Change the display name
- Open your project.
- Go to Review & Send → Preview as Backer.
- Find Preview Email: Survey invitation.
- Update Display Name to a name backers will recognize.
- Review the Subject and custom message.
- Save using the controls shown and click Email Preview.

Use a custom sending address
For a custom sending address, complete the custom-domain and sender-verification setup offered for your project. Use a domain and mailbox you control.
- Review the project’s Connect Domain setup and any stated plan or payment requirements.
- Complete the domain connection requested for the custom-sender feature.
- Configure the sender address when its controls are available.
- Complete address verification and publish the exact email-authentication records supplied for that sending configuration.
- Check the sender and domain status before using the address.
If the project does not show a custom-sender address control, contact support@pledgebox.com to confirm availability and setup for that project. A Display Name field alone does not mean that a custom sending address is configured.
Keep the domain tasks separate
A survey URL CNAME routes the backer page. SPF, DKIM and DMARC concern email authentication. Use the exact DNS type and values requested for each task; a verified survey URL does not by itself prove that the sending address is authenticated.
LaunchPad and Email Marketing have their own sender/domain workflows. Use those guides for messages sent from those products.
